The Rector of the Georgian Technical University, academician David Gurgenidze, based on the decision of the Academic Council of the GTU, for their special contribution to the University, awarded four professors, Aliko Tsintsadze - a professor of the Faculty of Informatics and Management Systems of the Georgian Technical University, a member-correspondent of the International Computer Academy, the author of about 100 scientific articles and two dozen books, as well as the manager of the Faculty of Informatics and Management Systems of the GTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Member of the Engineering Academy of Georgia, Member of the International Engineering Academy, Knight of the Order of Honor, Professor - Zurab Gasitashvili, member of the Academic Council of the Georgian Technical University, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law and International Relations, Professor- Jemal Gabelia, and State Counselor of Justice and Professor of the Faculty of Law and International Relations - Aleksandre Taliashvili, with the Gold medals.
The Rector of GTU presented the Gold Medals to Aliko Tsintsadze, Zurab Gasitashvili, Jemal Gabelia, and Aleksandre Taliashvili at the session of the Academic Council.
As the academician David Gurgenidze mentioned in his speech, they raised many worthy generations and made a great contribution to the successful activities of the Georgian Technical University.
“Considering the merits of Aliko Tsintsadze, Zurab Gasitashvili, Jemal Gabelia, and Aleksandre Taliashvili to the university and the country, the academic council decided to award the highest award of the university - the Gold medal - to the meritorious teacher and scientist.
On behalf of the university community, I congratulate our colleagues on this honorable award and wish them success in their scientific and pedagogical activity for the benefit of their native university and the country”, said the Rector of GTU in his speech.
For information: the award established on May 19th, 2022 by the decision of the Academic Council of the Georgian Technical University – “Gold Medal”, is awarded for special services rendered to the University.
“Gold Medal” is awarded by the decision of the university academic council, based on the rector’s submission.
The rector of the Georgian Technical University solemnly presents the award and the relevant certificate to the awarded person.
Since its inception, the GTU award has been given to 70 people, including citizens of Georgia and foreign countries.
