David Chitadze and Mariam Patashuri, first and fourth-year students of the Faculty of Business Technologies of the Georgian Technical University, attended a two-week training course at the Saarland University of Economics and Technology (Germany) summer school.

The students of the faculty of business technologies were selected through a competition for the summer school by the professor of the Saarland University of Technology and Economics, Wilhelm Heuser, who was on a working visit to the Georgian Technical University.

As Mariam Patashuri, the Faculty of Business Technologies graduate student, stated, the Georgian Technical University allowed her to participate in several local and international projects while receiving a high-standard education.

“I was involved in such a project for the first time, although I had the opportunity many times. The Georgian Technical University allows for development, which is very welcomed. I will take this opportunity to thank the faculty and the university, especially the dean, professor Rusudan Kutateladze, and the rector, academician David Gurgenidze.

As for the program, it included interesting educational activities. Among them, an intensive course in the German language and lectures aimed at improving both professional and general knowledge. I am glad that participating in the program allowed me to improve my German language knowledge and get information on issues compelling to me”, said Mariam Patashuri.

The first-year student of the Faculty of Business Technologies, David Chitadze noted that participation in the Saarland University of Economics and Technology summer school, provided by the Georgian Technical University, is one of the significant steps towards success for students.

“Applicants and schoolchildren who are now choosing, or in future should choose the higher education school to obtain relevant knowledge - I would advise stopping their choice at the Georgian Technical University, where students of any faculty have the opportunity to receive an education of the European standard and, in addition, to engage in various projects and the exchange program. This will change their lives for the better”, said David Chitadze.

The experts gave lectures on current engineering and business issues, and the Georgian students were allowed to participate in workshops and work on practical assignments.

The students of the Georgian Technical University were awarded 5 ECTS certificates for participating in the Saarland University of Economics and Technology summer school.
