During the 88th Open International Scientific Conference of students at the Georgian Technical University, the commission consisted of scientists and researchers who identified the winning students of the International School of Design.
Under the auspices of the conference, one section worked at the International School of Design. Three students participated in the “Design” section.
At the competitive work session, the commission members listened to the presentation reports of three undergraduate students on the topic selected by the authors.
After listening to the presentation works prepared by the students, the head of the section, the deputy dean in the scientific and international field, Nino Fitskhelauri, introduced to the audience the summary final results obtained by the competition jury consisting of 3 members:
The 1st place was given to Dimitri Kazarov, a student of the International School of Design, for his current work on the contemporary issues of sustainable development – “Two ways - one goal: heterogeneity in sustainable architecture.”
The 2nd place was taken by Ilia Djijeishvili, a student of the International School of Design, whose work “Integrating sustainable development strategies in visual communication: Case Study” was distinguished by its visual originality and thematic richness.
3rd place won - Anastasiya Kartozia, a student of the International School of Design, with her work – “Integrating the principles of sustainable development in interior design - a story of two projects”, where two interior design projects of modern sustainable development, created with environmentally friendly materials, were interestingly contrasted and discussed.
For information: more than 530 undergraduate, Master’s, and Doctorate students of thirteen faculties of the university are participating in the 88th Open International Scientific Conference of students.
The conference includes 56 sections, among them: 4 sections will work at the Faculty of Construction and 25 students will present their work; at the Faculty of Energy - 8 sections, 67 students; at the Faculty of Mining and Geology - 2 sections, 41 students; at the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy - 6 sections, 62 students; at the Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering - 6 sections, 54 students; at the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design - 2 sections, 18 students; at the Faculty of Law and International Relations - 1 section, 21 students; at the faculties of Law and International Relations, as well as Engineering Economy, Media Technologies and Social Sciences, in the inter-faculty section - 23 students; at the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems - 8 sections, 90 students; International School of Design - 1 section, 3 students; at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Biosystems Engineering - 5 sections, 45 students; at the Faculty of Business Technologies - 4 sections, 23 students; at the faculty of Engineering Economy, Media Technologies and Social Sciences - 7 sections, 30 students; at the Faculty of Mountain Sustainable Development - 1 section, 21 students.
The 88th Open International Scientific Conference of GTU students started on April 29th and will last until May 17th.
The award ceremony for the winners will be held on June 14th.
