The Rector of the Georgian Technical University academician David Gurgenidze, on behalf of the university community and students, expresses his grief over the death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and other members of the delegation, and expresses his condolences to the Iranian students of the university, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Georgia and the Iranian people.

„We express our deepest sorrow over the death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs - Hossein Amirabdolahian, and other members of the delegation as a result of the plane crash in the East Azerbaijan province of Iran. On behalf of the GTU we express our condolences to our Iranian students, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Georgia and the Ambassador, His Excellency Mahmoud Adib, the Iranian people, the government, and the families of the deceased.“
