President of San-Diego State University, Prof. Adela de la Torre at GTU

On 21st of September, President of San-Diego State University (USA), Prof. Adela de la Torre visited Georgian Technical University and held the meeting with GTU Rector, Prof. Archil Prangishvili.
GTU and San-Diego State University representatives attended the meeting as well. During the working meeting were discussed various issues such as future cooperation between the parties; improvement and development of academic programs as well as international accreditation issues and joint working and educational plans for 2018-2023 years.
Prof. Adela de la Torre invited Prof. Archil Prangishvili at San-Diego State University and at the same time expressed her desire to come back to Georgia for developing new educational and scientific projects.
It should be noted that Prof. Adela de la Torre is the first woman president in the history of San-Diego State University (9th President) and visited Georgia for the first time (she paid visit to partner universities in Georgia, including Georgian Technical University).
