Within the framework of the agreement signed with ARC Informatique, the international conference “Digitalization and sustainability with the PcVue platform” was held at GTU

An agreement on partnership and cooperation was signed between the Technical University of Georgia, the French company – “ARC Informatique” (ARC Informatique), and the Faculty of Informatics and Management Systems, within the framework of the agreement, held an international conference – “Digitalization and sustainability with the PcVue platform” with foreign partners.

The agreement, the purpose of which is cooperation and partnership in the development of innovative technological processes, as well as the creation of new educational and methodological materials in the field of automation, was signed by the head of the GTU administration, Professor Carlo Kopaliani and the president of ARC Informatique, Pierre de Bayencourt di Curcoli.

According to the head of the GTU administration, within the framework of the agreement, the university and the company are planning long-term cooperation for the implementation of joint programs and individual projects.

“The agreement laid the foundation for cooperation, which will be useful for both our students and business. It is important, that Georgian and foreign representatives of the business sector attend the event and the conference together with the academic staff, whose requirements are important to consider in the educational process. We must offer competitive specialists to the market. I wish success to the university and partners”, said Karlo Kopaliani.

The event of signing the partnership and cooperation agreement between the Technical University of Georgia and ARC Informatique was held with the conference – “Digitalization and sustainability with the PcVue platform”.

The conference was opened by the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Management Systems. As Professor Taliko Zhvania noted, the conference aims to share experience in the implementation of the latest technologies, using the example of real projects, within the framework of cooperation with ARC Informatique.

“In the direction of computing and automation, our faculty is the only one in the region that has gained 65 years of experience and traditions. About 4,000 students study 26 educational programs at all three levels. I would like to proudly announce that the English-language undergraduate program of the Faculty of Informatics and Management Systems - Biomedical Engineering has obtained accreditation from the American Accreditation Agency in Engineering and Technology - ABET. It is another important confirmation of the high quality of the faculty’s educational process, academic staff, training, and laboratory bases, and the convergence of university and faculty processes with international standards. Encouraging and supporting innovation and promoting technological progress is our main goal. We have the ambition to be leaders. I think our cooperation with ARC Informatique is another step forward in this regard”, said Taliko Zhvania.

The conference – “Digitalization and sustainability with PcVue platform” was attended by Georgian, French, and Azerbaijan scientists and researchers. The conference was held in two sections.
