Cooperation initiative for industry representatives of the field profile

At the Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering, multidisciplinary educational programs focused on Georgian and European educational standards are implemented. Some of these programs have no analogues in Georgia. Accordingly, there is a great demand for graduates of the faculty in the employment market. For the faculty, as one of the old and traditional engineering schools in Georgia, the strategic development plan for 2022-2028 defines the priorities that aim to introduce such standards of learning, teaching and research in the academic field, which will constantly improve the learning environment and increase the relevance of education to the challenges of the modern labor market.

We have an initiative that aims to strengthen the links between the faculty as a traditional institution of engineering education and entrepreneurial business industries; Ensuring the participation of employers in education and promoting the training of a competitive, qualified workforce in the labor market by improving the results of students' learning practices.

Ultimately, we would like to create career development and professional growth support opportunities in cooperation with the private and public sectors through the development of a practical component in training programs, training seminars, joint research activities and other innovative mechanisms.

We are sure that by strengthening the links with the labor market, the cooperation will contribute to the rapid modernization of higher education programs and the learning environment. Which in turn will contribute to the development of competitive and market-oriented human capital and reduce the gap between learning outcomes and labor market expectations (skills gap).

Our concept involves collaboration between industries and faculty to solve specific business problems, with joint hands-on participation of industry, students and academic staff.

In order to facilitate relations and maximize the connection between employers, students and alumni, we offer open cooperation to industry representatives of the faculty profile, based on the objectives described above. Therefore, we will be happy to consider any proposal that will improve the cooperation between the educational institution and the business.

If you are interested in this initiative, please contact us.
