The Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering is the main educational unit with a century-old history of the Technical University of Georgia, where multidisciplinary educational programs focused on Georgian and European educational standards are implemented - some of these programs have no analogues in Georgia. 

Today, the faculty prepares specialists at four levels (specialists with professional education, bachelors, masters, doctoral students) and provides training of highly qualified personnel of the international level for the transport, machine-building-industrial and entrepreneurial fields. Also, an active, scientific, multidisciplinary scientific-research process is underway.

The mission of the Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Georgia is "implementation of higher educational, training and scientific-research activities for national and international sectoral needs".    

The goals of the faculty are: Formation, implementation and realization of innovation-based and internationally compatible higher education programs in order to provide the needs of the national economy with the necessary number of specialists with the appropriate level of European education and qualifications and the results of scientific research in relation to the transport and machine-building and industrial sectors.
