1. The faculty's representative body is the faculty board, which includes all members of the faculty's academic staff and student self-government representatives.
2. The number of student self-government representatives in the faculty board should be 1/3 of the full composition of the board, rounding is done in favor of students.
3. The faculty board is authorized if more than half of the list of members of the board is present.
4. The decision at the faculty board is made by the majority of the votes of the attendees, and in the cases specified by the Law of Georgia "On Higher Education", by the majority of the listed members of the board.
5. The faculty board recognizes the authority of its members immediately after the first meeting.
6. The authority of the representatives elected by the student self-government to the faculty board is recognized at the nearest session of the faculty board.
7. In the absence of the dean, at least 1/3 of the board members or the deputy dean have the right to convene the faculty board.

Authority of the Board

a) develops and submits to the head of the administration the budget project of the faculty;
b) elects the dean of the faculty based on free and equal elections, by secret ballot, with the majority of the members of the list;
c) on the recommendation of the dean, develops and submits for approval to the academic board of the university the strategic plan for the development of the faculty, training and scientific-research programs;
d) on the recommendation of the dean, develops the faculty's structure and regulations and submits it to the university's representative board (senate) for approval;
e) develops the regulations of the Dissertation Board and submits it to the Academic Board of the University for approval;
f) elects the head of the quality assurance service of the faculty;
g) creates a permanent faculty ethics commission and approves the decisions made by the commission;
h) carries out disciplinary proceedings against the student of the faculty;
i) forms permanent and temporary commissions of the faculty, including sectoral commissions of learned experts;
j) is authorized to consider the issue of early termination of the dean's authority at the request of at least 1/3 of the members of the faculty board, based on the dean's violation of Georgian legislation, improper performance of the duties assigned to the dean and/or performance of activities unsuitable for the dean. The decision on early termination of the dean's term of office shall be made by secret vote, by the majority of the members. The dean does not take part in the voting provided for in this paragraph, the senior member present in the board presides over the board.k) in the case of early termination of the dean's authority, by an open vote, under the chairmanship of the senior member of the board, by the majority of the votes of those present, appoint an acting dean;
m) elects the members of the academic board and the representative board (senate) of the university from among the academic staff within the quota defined for the faculty. The relevant elections are conducted according to the rules established by the university regulations for holding elections;
n) makes decisions on the delegation of its own functions to the Faculty Board, except for the powers directly defined by Article 28 of the Law of Georgia "On Higher Education";
n) in case of nomination for the position of the head of the academic department by the faculty board, listens to the action plans presented by the persons to be appointed to the position of the head of the academic department of the organizational unit of the faculty and recommends the candidate selected by the majority of the votes of the attendees to the academic board of the university;
p) exercises other powers defined by the legislation of Georgia, the university charter, this regulation, the legal acts of the university and the regulations of the Faculty Board.
