      From December 8, 2020 (Rector's order #05-04-11/1073), the Faculty of Law and International Relations of the Technical University of Georgia established the Department of Cultural Sciences (head - Prof. Revaz Mishveladze; members: Prof. Soso Sigua, Murman Tavdishvili, Tamar Bliadze, Eka Tskhadadze).

      The professors of the department give university subjects in Georgian and Russian languages: culturology, culture and modernity, culture and law; engaged in scientific work, in particular, R. Mishveladze published textbooks and books ("Culturology", "Culture and Modernity", "Discussions on Culture and Politics", "Culture of Politics and Culture Policy", "Georgia and International Processes"); S. Sigua - "Basics of cultural studies" in three volumes; "History of Georgian culture" in four volumes; M. Tavdishvili - "Finding-Discovery", "Firdous", "The Great Rock in Georgian Literature", "Rustvelological Criticism" in two volumes; Books on prominent culturologists: R. Mishveladze, S. Siguaze, N. Bartaia and G. Gogolashvili. Together with a group of authors, he published a manual-chrestomathy "Judicial and Political Eloquence"; T. Bliadze published "cultural investigations", "cultural problems", "philological studies".

      With the efforts of the department, a new textbook "Culture and Law" (2021) was released, the syllabus of which was compiled by the professors of the department.

      All professors of the department are members of the Union of Writers. They often participate in debates, publish literary-critical articles. So, for example, in 2022, M. Tavdishvili's 764-page collection of essays "Chemians".

      Professors actively participate in international scientific conferences held in GTU. In 2023, Mishveladze, Sigua, Tavdishvili, Bliadze, Tskhadadze read reports on the cultural section; In the scientific magazines published here ("Intellectual", "Education", "Historical Verticals", "Parallel"), the materials of the department's professors are printed, and the magazine "Parallel" is published by the Academic Department of Cultural Sciences.

      Students named T. Bliadze (2022) and M. Tavdishvili (twic; in 2021 and 2022) as the best lecturers.

During this period, R. Mishveladze was awarded with the gold medal of GTU, he also won the competition announced by the Union of Writers (2023). In the same year, his textbook "Culturology" won the competition announced by the faculty and received the 1st prize; M. Tavdishvili won the contest announced by the Union of Writers and was awarded J. Ajiashvili house prize, and in 2023, the rectorate of GTU awarded him with a certificate as the author of the best textbook ("Georgian court and political eloquence"); During this period, S. Sogua was awarded the famous Saguramo Prize, and also received the title of Knight of Culture.
