Two-diploma educational programs
The faculty has three two-diploma programs. In 2019, with participation of the Georgian Technical University and French University René-1 (Universite de RENNES 1), a double-diploma bachelor's program (production management in the dairy industry) was implemented. Within the frameworks of the above-mentioned program the Georgian Technical University participates in the program of Georgian-French universities. The program includes 60 credit modules and lectures are delivered in English language. Together with their French colleagues, Georgian professors and teachers conduct the educational course and the students undergo all the components of educational process as their French coevals do. After completing this module, they receive two diplomas – diploma of the French University René 1 and GTU. The faculty also has a two-diploma bachelor's program in viticulture-enology at the University of Milan. In order to obtain two diplomas a student must complete 60 credits in Italy. Knowledge of Italian language is required to participate in this program.
From 2021, the Master's program of GTU - Viticulture and Winemaking became a member of the EMAVE Consortium, a similar European master's program, which includes the Universities of France, Portugal, Germany, Spain, Italy and Switzerland. Students of this program have a unique opportunity to get two diplomas - Georgian and French. For one year students go to any consortium member country, which gives them an opportunity to receive a European education in the field of viticulture and winemaking and to work on master's thesis.
