At the Technical University of Georgia, an important role has always been assigned to bringing the architectural process closer to real life. The Faculty of Architecture is one of the oldest main educational units of the Georgian Technical University with a century-old history. The history of the faculty begins in 1922.
The programs of all three levels of teaching of the faculty are accredited. The Bachelor of Architecture program is 100% funded by the state.
Academicians who are members of the International Academy and honored practicing architects of Georgia work at the faculty. The majority of teachers work on real projects and they are the authors of a number of realized objects and projects, winners of a number of professional competitions and participants in art exhibitions.
The faculty, in accordance with the internationalization strategy of GTU, is actively involved in the activities of the European Commission program ERASMUS + and other international programs. Accordingly, it is possible for students to participate in international exchange study programs at advanced European universities.
The subject "Poetics of Architecture" includes a lecture course where architecture is discussed in the field of cultural problems. The unique studio workshop "Poetics of Architecture" is a space of freedom where the student enters into a dialogue with the culture through the language of play and creates his own – new one, in the form of a game.
Students have the opportunity to actively participate in various sports activities and self-creation.
Faculty students actively and successfully participate in international and local workshops and competitions during their studies.
Graduates of different generations of the faculty work successfully both in the country and internationally and implement unique projects.
Along with the Georgian programs, one foreign language program is also implemented at the faculty - Russian-language architecture bachelor's program.
