On February 16, 2018, the chairman of the National Bureau of Enforcement of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia Ioseb Baghaturia and the deputy chairman Mirian Kharabadze met with students and professors within the framework of the "Meet the Employer" project organized by the Faculty of Law and International Relations of the Georgian Technical University.

The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law and International Relations of GTU, Professor Irakli Gabisonia, who emphasized the need to listen to the recommendations of practitioners in the process of accreditation and authorization and to reflect their advice and opinions in training, programs, and syllabi.

The meeting was chaired by the speaker of the GTU representative board, professor Jemal Gakhokidze, who asked the chairman of the National Bureau of Enforcement to make a short report for the students.

As the chairman of the National Bureau of Enforcement noted, it is very important for his agency to establish a solid connection with students and educational institutions, that is why he welcomes the "Meet the employer" project organized by the faculty. The chairman drew attention to the draft law of the enforcement code and the implemented and future reforms.

Ekaterine Akhalkatsi, a lawyer of the National Bureau of Enforcement, gave a presentation to the students, who introduced the students to the general provisions related to the enforcement system, aspects related to the register of debtors and private enforcement, and also focused on the electronic auction and simplified production.

The chairman of the National Bureau of Enforcement proposed to teach "enforcement law" at the faculty, which would better enable students to master issues related to enforcement proceedings. Also, the chairman highlighted the employment and internship in the Enforcement Bureau, urging students to use the opportunity and apply to the Bureau so that they can be employed in the future.

The meeting included a question-and-answer session, which the students made the most of and asked a number of questions about enforcement mechanisms, production, debtors' register, e-auction and other issues.

The meeting was summed up by the speaker of GTU, professor Jemal Gakhokidze, who thanked the chairman of the bureau for coming and evaluated the enforcement system in Georgia in a few words.
