The Faculty of Business Technologies is the legal successor of the Business-Engineering Faculty, which in turn was the legal successor of the Humanities-Technical Faculty. Since the nineties of the last century, the Humanities and Technical Faculty has firmly maintained its advanced positions in the Georgian educational space. The first dean of the faculty was Mr. Aleko Tsintsadze, in 2005-2006 the faculty was headed by Mrs. Ketevan Kokrashvili, and in 2007 Mrs. Rusudan Kutateladze was elected to the position of the dean of the faculty. The concept on which the faculty was based was innovative for its time, as it was completely focused on the demand of the international educational market.

       According to the resolution #1987 of the Academic Council of GTU on May 16, 2016, as a result of the reorganization of the Faculty of Business Engineering, three faculties were created:

  1. Faculty of Business Technologies;
  2. Faculty of Engineering Economics, Media Technologies and Social Sciences;
  3. Faculty of Law and International Relations.

Professor Rusudan Kutateladze was elected as the Dean of the Faculty of Business Technologies.

The Faculty of Business Technologies implements educational programs of all three levels of education.
