- Since 2016, the Public Law Laboratory has been operating at the Faculty of Law and International Relations of the Georgiaт Technical University. The purpose of the laboratory is to increase the importance of the potential of scientific research and educational programs, as well as to promote participation in scientific activities for students and teachers involved and interested in the science of constitutional law.
- State symbols of more than thirty countries of the world, reproductions of the first and oldest constitutions, Georgian and foreign literature on the constitution and law-making are presented in the public law laboratory. Which deserves great interest and approval among the guests and is a great pride of the Faculty of Law and International Relations.
- The laboratory is headed by the famous constitutionalist, Professor Emeritus Avtandil Demetrashvili, he was appointed by the President of Georgia on December 29, 1995 as a member of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, and in 1996-2001 he was the chairman of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, in 2001-2004 he was appointed as a member of the Supreme Council of Justice of Georgia by decree of the President of Georgia; has been granted the special title of State Counselor of Justice. By the decree of the President of Georgia on June 8, 2009, he was appointed as the chairman of the State Constitutional Commission, and in 2016 he was a member of the State Constitutional Commission, and Vakhtang Zhvania, a guest teacher of the faculty, a constitutionalist, actively worked with him in the discussion of the project.
- It was they who organized the review of the constitutional draft in the public law laboratory, where the members of the State Constitutional Commission participated, namely the chairman of the procedural issues committee, doctor of law, professor Giorgi Kakhiani and the chairman of the legal issues committee Vakhtang Khmaladze.
- Since its establishment, the public law laboratory, together with the students and professors of the faculty, prepares conclusions on the compliance of the bill initiated in the parliament with the Constitution of Georgia, which is a great experience for students.
- In the comfortable environment of the public law laboratory, students' academic studies, scientific conferences and meetings with eminent and statesmen are held.
- Two books were prepared for publication within the framework of the laboratory (will be published after the completion of the constitutional reform of 2016-2017); "Constitutional Chronicles of Georgia (1918-2017) - Book Second - Gaining Independence, Restoration, Legalization, State Heraldry, Constitutions and Quasi-Constitutional Acts"; "Constitutional Chronicles of Georgia (1918-2017) - Book Three - Elections and Referendum, Local Self-Government";
- The laboratory is currently headed by Professor Zurab Melkadze.
