A device for controlling air in the pipeline during hemodialysis
The development of a blood monitoring system during hemodialysis aims to improve the safety of extrarenal scavenging procedures and prevent severe consequences of air embolism. Hemodialysis process requires increased control over such parameters as: Dialysis dose, blood perfusion rate, ultrafiltration, blood volume, its composition, etc. Air embolism, in which blood flow is blocked by a foreign body stuck in an artery, such as a blood clot or air bubble, remains one of the most serious complications of hemodialysis. One of the most important components of the hemodialysis machines is the control system for the inclusion of air in the pipeline, which gets into the blood in case of violation of the procedure. This paper discusses the operation of an optical sensor to detect and capture air inclusions that can accidentally enter the blood when there is no hermetic connection to the cap or the specified parameters of hemodialysis are violated. The presence of air inclusions in the blood. Air inclusion control system, air embolism, block diagram of air control device in pipeline. With this device, we will be able to replace the artificial locking clamp and add an optical sensor, which will help increase the level of security.
