For successful students in Georgia, there is a program "State Scholarships for Students", which is given in state universities on a semester basis and amounts to 150 GEL per month. The amount will be allocated from the state budget, however, the criteria for receiving the scholarship are determined by the universities themselves.

Technical University of Georgia is also involved in the mentioned program. Scholarships are awarded to those students of the first, second, third and fourth year of undergraduate studies at STU, who have a high rating according to the results of the semester sessions of the academic year (the amount of the maximum rating point changes every year). The scholarship holder is selected by the competition commissions created by the order of the dean of the faculty.

In addition to state scholarships for students of the program at GTU, there are faculty named scholarships. It is possible for students to receive a nominal scholarship along with the state scholarship, if they meets all the criteria according to the rules of the competition.

Faculty nominal scholarships:

The faculty scholarship is awarded to a student of high academic performance, who has a high rating (over 91% in all subjects) according to the results of the sessions, and, at the same time, actively participates in various conferences, workshops and trainings, is involved in self-management events of GTU.

Scholarship named after Zviad Gamsakhurdia 150 GEL (for 9 months) - Faculty of Law and International Relations.

The faculty scholarship is awarded to a student of high academic performance who has a high rating (above 91%) according to the results of the sessions and actively participates in various conferences, workshops, trainings.

Different types of scholarships

RMG scholarship program 300 GEL (for 1 year) - Faculty of Mining and Geology; Faculty of Informatics and Management Systems; Faculty of Energy and Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering.

The mentioned scholarship of RMG is awarded to the student of the bachelor's program from the second year of the study program. The scholarship holder is selected by the members of the faculty commission as a result of passing two stages of the competition.

2nd, 3rd and 4th year students of the following faculties of Georgia Technical University can participate in the scholarship program.

Also, the RMG scholarship will be awarded to master's and doctoral students of the mentioned faculties.

Green scholarship 1500 GEL (one time) - master's programs - environmental engineering; geology; Mining geodesy.

The "Green Scholarships" program is implemented under the program "Climate Change Disaster Risk Reduction in Georgia", which is financed by the Government of Georgia, the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Government of Sweden and Switzerland, and its implementation is ensured by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The amount will be given to the student who has met the criteria of the competition and the contract.

In addition, one student with the highest academic performance of the three faculties of the Technical University of Georgia - (Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urbanism and Design, and Agricultural Science and Biosystems Engineering) and several students with the same highest academic performance will receive a monthly scholarship from AIP "Tamaz Bekaia Foundation" in the amount of 300 GEL.  In addition, the fund will give a one-time sum of 1,500 GEL as a bonus to the entrant who was enrolled in the Technical University of Georgia with the highest ratings as a result of the unified national exams and became a student. In order to be awarded the fund's prize, the entrant must meet the following criteria:

Program for granting social benefits

A student of GTU has the opportunity to take advantage of all the benefits provided by the state program for the socially vulnerable, children of war veterans, internally displaced persons, victims of villages near the dividing line.
