Department of Finance and Banking Technologies It was created in 2011 on the basis of the Department of Banking, which was established on December 1, 1995 at the Georgian Technical University, to which a great contribution was made by Professor Anton Ingorokva, who was then the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of "United Georgian Bank" JSC. Based on the mission of the Georgian Technical University, the goal of the Department of Finance and Banking Technologies is to train highly qualified specialists and researchers in the fields of finance and banking and the ability to use innovative methods, according to competitive international standards. Meritorious professors and practicing bankers lead the educational process in the department.
The department is headed by a young scientist, Professor Rati Burdiashvili.
