Assignement: pavilion

Undergraduate, year II, 2014.

The scale of the pavilion usually implies the creation of a small architectural object in space. The task was to think about the pavilion as a generator of space. Pavilions as a space is a kind of micro-world. The folded and compact pavilion invites the visitor to an architectural "adventure". The initial stage fo the design was a simple square plane. By cutting, folding, and layering the plane becomes spatial. It hosts layers of dynamic planes. The pavilion does not serve a single function, rather the use scenarios emerge as the visitors discover various areas of the pavilion. It is a kind of interiorized landscape that enables "micro-hiking".
