Theme: A bee breeder farmer's house.
Course project. Year III, 2001.
The design is for a family farm. The main aim of the project is to acheive architectural unity of living and technological parts of the farm. A frame can bring into a single context objects and events that have nothing in common.
The project refers to the The Dolmen as a source archetype. The archetype is rescaled and reframed to create new spatial interpretation. The Dolmen frames a visual perspective bringing the volumes of the house and the bee hives into the frame. The basic prism shape is repeated in differnt scales for different functions.
The design exposes MEP systems on the facade thus creating a juxtaposition of archaic (main stone volumes) and supermodern.
