Surfaces, Supplements
"Discourse" removes boundaries between genres.
Surface is the border of the Depth (its binary opposite).
Culture (language, architecture, ...) is Supplement (on Nature)
Supplement transforms Culture into Names, i.e. language and the latter into literature.
The supplement makes a place form a mere territory; it makes a topos, and transforms topos into opus that is architecture.
The discourse presented deconstructs the topos in multiple iterations.
The term for the discourse is named τοποιησις (Topoiesis).
Topos + Poiesis.
τοποιησις - is to make the place, to create ground.
As a source we took a discarded paper model of a site terrain; we translate the object into a photographic image, that is a surface. The image becomes a secondary source for various interventions.
