საქართველოს ტექნიკური უნივერსიტეტში 13-24 მარტს შიდა საუნივერსიტეტო, ონლაინ სემინარების ახალი ციკლი “ABET აკრედიტაციის სტანდარტები და გამოწვევები“ ჩატარდა.

სემინარები საერთაშორისო აკრედიტაციის ცენტრის ორგანიზებით გაიმართა და მათ ცენტრის დირექტორი, პროფესორი ირინე გოცირიძე უძღვებოდა.

სემინარები,  მიზნად ისახავდა საქართველოს ტექნიკური უნივერსიტეტის ხარისხის უზრუნველყოფის სამსახურების თანამშრომლებისთვის  საერთაშორისო, ABET  აკრედიტაციის კონცეფციის, აკრედიტაციის პროცესის, ABET სტანდარტებისა და მიღების პროცედურების გაცნობას.

სემინარების მიმდინარეობისას განხილული იყო შემდეგი თემები:

  1. ABET სტანდარტები და მიღების პროცედურები;
  2. საინჟინრო პროგრამების აკრედიტაციის ABET სტანდარტები;
  3. ABET თვითშეფასები ანგარიში;
  4. სტუდენტების სწავლის შედეგების შეფასების მექანიზმები ABET კრიტერიუმებთან მიმართებაში;
  5. პროგრამის სწავლის შედეგების რუბრიკებით შეფასების ეფექტურობა;
  6. დოკუმენტების ორგანიზება ABET აკრედიტაციის შემფასებელთა გუნდისთვის (მოდერატორი კახაბერ ხატიაშვილი - საერთაშორისო აკრედიტაციის ცენტრი);
  7. როგორ მოვემზადოთ ABET შეფასებისთვის (მოდერატორი მაია გამსახურდია - საერთაშორისო აკრედიტაციის ცენტრი).
შემაჯამაბელ სემინარზე ინფორმატიკის და მართვის სისტემების ფაკულტეტის დეკანმა, პროფესორმა თამარ ლომინაძემ და სასწავლო პროცესების მართვის დეპარტამენტის ხელმძღვანელმა პროფესორმა თამარ წერეთელმა მონაწილეებს გაუზიარეს ABET შემფასებელთა გუნდთან უნივერსიტეტის სტრუქტურულ ერთეულების მუშაობის მხრივ მიღებული გამოცდილება.

სემინარებში მონაწილეთა მიერ უკუკავშირის კითხვარის შევსების აქტიურობამ, დაადასტურა საერთაშორისო აკრედიტაციის სტანდარტების გაცნობის მიმართ დიდი ინტერესი.

New intra-university online seminars’ cycle - "ABET Accreditation Standards and Challenges" was held (6 seminars) under the leadership of the International Accreditation Center on March 13-24(2023) at Georgian Technical University. The leader of the seminar is - Professor Irine Gotsiridze, head of the International Accreditation Center.

The seminars aim was to introduce the concept of ABET international accreditation, accreditation processes; ABET standards procedures to the Quality Assurance Staff of Georgian Technical University.

The seminars covered the following topics:

  1. ABET standards and admission procedures;

  2. ABET Standards for accreditation of Engineering Programs;

  3. ABET self-assessment report;

  4. Mechanisms for assessing of student learning outcomes according to ABET criteria;

  5. Effectiveness of Rubrics for Evaluating Program Learning Outcomes;

  6. Organization of documents for the ABET accreditation assessment group (moderator Kakhaber Khatiashvili - International Accreditation Center.);

  7. What is necessary to be done to be ready for the ABET assessment (Moderator Maya Gamsakhurdia - International Accreditation Center.)
At the final seminar, Professor Tamar Lominadze, Dean of the Informatics and Control Systems Faculty, and Professor Tamar Tsereteli, Head of the Educational Process Management Department, shared information on the experience of collaboration of the structural units of the University with the ABET evaluators team.

The active participation in the discussions of the seminar participants and the activeness of filling out the feedback questionnaires confirmed the great interest in getting acquainted with the international standards of accreditation.
