One laboratory work is carried out, which is assembled on a stand. The stand is intended for studying the working process of centrifugal pumps and provides appropriate laboratory work for students of hydropower concentration.

The purpose of the laboratory work is for the student to study: constructions of pumps, characteristic parameters, the basics of calculation of reference pressure and delivery, constructions of pumps, equipment of pumping units, the manner and conditions of its reliable operation, selection of pumping units. as well as the purpose and principle of operation of the turbine chamber, the guiding device and the exhaust pipe, the types of the working eye and their main dimensions, the basics of hydro turbine regulation, the purpose of the technical water supply, oil and pneumatic valves of the HPP, the types and purpose of the water intake and turbine locks, the pressure valves of the HPP, crane-transport purpose and types of devices, garbage bars and their cleaning agents.
